Pool covers & debris nets (Non powered)

If Blue Safari Pool Service is to remove and replace a pool cover for cleaning, additional charges may apply. If a cover is in place upon arrival, Blue Safari Pool Service will service the pool with the cover in place.
Note! Because of the extreme temperatures generated directly below solar pool covers the likelihood of problems with algae forming increases. It is recommended the customer operate the circulation system when solar covers are in place. If it becomes apparent algae is present and treatment is necessary additional charges for algae removal will be applied.
Tile and Water Line
Blue Safari Pool Service normally brushes the water line weekly. Schedule permitting, with the exception of occasional spot tile cleaning overall manual scrubbing of tile is not included with service. If excessive calcium buildup is evident, professional tile cleaning may be required.

Repairs
Repairs to equipment including but not limited to pump/motor replacement, filter cleaning (other than indicated in section 6.4), plumbing repairs etc. are not included with weekly pool maintenance and will not be performed during a scheduled service visit. An additional service call will be required or the repair will be performed during a later visit. Additional charges may apply.

Minor repairs including but not limited to, pump impeller cleanout, o-ring replacement, water leveler adjustment or replacement etc. may be performed during a service visit. The Blue Safari Pool Service technician will determine if the schedule will allow the additional time required.
Customer Responsibility
Water Level
It is the customer’s responsibility to maintain proper water level in the pool at all times. Pools utilizing an automatic water leveler need to be monitored by the customer. If it appears the leveler is not operating properly the customer should advise Blue Safari Pool Service of the problem and add water manually until the next scheduled service visit. Blue Safari Service may adjust or replace the necessary parts as needed.
If the pool does not have an automatic water leveler, the customer is to manually add water to maintain the proper level
Low Water Level
Upon arrival for servicing, if the pool water level is too low for proper pump operation, Blue Safari Pool Service will service the pool with low water and advise customer to add water as soon as possible. If the customer is not available to add water, Blue Safari Pool Service will add water for an additional charge. Blue Safari Service may require an additional visit to manually add water.
Blue Safari will not be responsible for damage to the pool or equipment if proper water level is not maintained.
High Water Level
Upon arrival for servicing, if the pool water level is too high, Blue Safari Pool Service may lower the water level if a convenient apparatus is available. Eg. sand filter with backwash capabilities, hose connection etc. Customers with D.E. (diatomaceous earth) filters, backwashing will be used only as a last resort.
If the pool requires a remote pump to lower the water level Blue Safari Pool Service will schedule a visit for this action. An additional service charge will apply.
Surrounding Landscape/Vegetation
The surrounding landscape and amount of debris entering the pool needs to be monitored by the customer. If excessive vegetation is consistently present in the pool Blue Safari Pool Service will discuss the matter with the customer. The customer may wish to cut back or prune the foliage surrounding the pool.
Additional cleaning charges may be imposed if the surrounding vegetation consistently causes excessive cleaning time.
It is the customer’s responsibility to advise their landscaping contractor(s) to minimize the surrounding vegetation. Landscaping contractors should minimize the amount of debris left in the pool after surrounding vegetation is trimmed.
Toys & Inflatables
As it is our policy to not remove pool toys, inflatable lounges, dog bones etc. the customer should visually inspect the pool occasionally for these items and remove them. If left in the pool on your service day, Blue Safari may not remove them unless it appears circulation or cleaning will be obstructed
Filters - Maintenance & Backwashing
Blue Safari Service monitors the pressures of the filters on a weekly basis. Backwashing is performed when either time (since the last backwashing) or a marked increase in pressure is observed.
Diatomaceous Earth Filters (D.E.)
Blue Safari Pool Service monitors the pressures of the filters on a weekly basis. Backwashing is performed when either time (since the last backwashing) or a marked increase in pressure is observed.
As the quantity if diatomaceous earth expelled during backwashing is unknown, Blue Safari Pool Service will attempt to approximate the proper quantity of D.E. powder to add after backwashing to prevent D.E. from entering the pool.
Diatomaceous Earth Filter Maintenance
It is recommended D.E. filters be disassembled, inspected and cleaned thoroughly at least once every year. Blue Safari Pool Service provides this service for an additional charge if the customer does not wish to clean the filter. If regular filter cleaning is declined by the customer, the responsibility of chemical and algae control by Blue Safari Pool Service may be limited.
Cartridge Filters - Single Element
Single element cartridge filters with an effective filtration area of less than 200 sq.ft. will be cleaned as part of the service agreement. Blue Safari Pool Service will monitor the pressure and disassemble and clean as needed.
Cleaning consists of filter disassembly and rinsing element with a garden hose. If a hose is not available on the property Blue Safari Pool Service will provide the hose and schedule cleaning on the next service visit.
Filters requiring frequent cleanings may indicate a problem with the equipment. Blue Safari Pool Service will contact the customer if this condition exists. Additional charges may apply if the cartridges require frequent cleanings.
Cartridge Filters - Multiple Element
Blue Safari Pool Service will monitor the pressure of multiple cartridge filters on a weekly basis. As multiple element filter cleaning is an additional service, the customer will be contacted prior to the filter requiring service. Blue Safari Pool Service provides this service for an additional charge if the customer does not wish to clean the filter. If regular filter cleaning is declined by the customer, the responsibility of chemical and algae control by Blue Safari Pool Service may be limited.

As a convenience to the customer, Blue Safari Pool Service will maintain a record of filter cleanings and advise the customer in advance of any filter service due.
